MAsT International (Masters & slaves Together) is a group of people involved in, or interested in, the M/s lifestyle. We exist to provide education, support, and resources to those with the M/s mindset.

The MAsT SCC Chapter (Santa Clara County) meets for discussion every 3rd Monday at Edges from 7-9pm (doors open 6:45).

Our meetings are now OPEN - NO invitation needed due to our change of venue.

Our meetings are open to all genders, & identities. First meeting is free, subsequent meetings are $5 requested donation.

We have an open yahoo group for information at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MAsTSCC as well as a private members only list for those who are MAsTSCC members in good standing.

APRIL, 2007:

Master A.J. (Strong Eagle), Tydomus, shadow and jazira are pleased to announce the official opening of the Santa Clara County MAsT chapter.

We are a pansexual organization dedicated to supporting, assisting, educating, and providing fellowship with those who seek to learn more about or celebrate the Master/slave dynamic in their lives.

We are an invitation only group, and encourage those who believe that they would benefit from our organization to contact i999shadow@aol.com or tydomus@gmail.com concerning membership.

Founded in May, 2007, we are a young new group and part of the 2007 reorganization as MAsT leadership moves from House Kepplar to the leadership of Master Conrad. We are thrilled to work with the steady and capable Masters and slaves that have gone before us in providing a place for us all to share, grow, and support each other.

AJ and shadow considered this honor for months before making the commitment to found a local chapter here in the South SF Bay area, and then waited for the Universe to guide them to Tydomus and jazira as the perfect co-directors in this venture. All of them are committed to the power exchange of M/s and the ideals of respect, trust, communication, service, and honor that have been traditionally associated with M/s within the "Old Guard" leather world they have been exposed to.

That ideal has led them to MAsT, and in turn, to share what they feel with others.

We hope that this is a learning haven, a social connection, and a supportive environment. We are *not* a dating service or a fundraising group nor politically involved to any degree. We are invitation only at this time, although we encourage those who are interested to contact us for more info.

Meetings are monthly on the first Sunday from 4 to 6 PM (subject to change by group caveat) in private homes. Directions will be sent to those who RSVP from the membership.

We ask that everyone bring a dish/drink to share and come with questions, possible topics for discussion, or interesting articles to share about the Power Exchange life choice.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome!

This month, our active Directors Tydomus & his lovely jazzira are going to be on
vacation, and i wish them a wonderful time.

i would LOVE to see everyone invite a guest this month, or encourage a friend to
come and get to know the Santa Clara county MAsT chapter.

Some of us have been doing this so long that we are not always aware of what
others do or don't know, and some of us have been doing this so long that we are
woefully sloppy at it sometimes:)

i think i would like to propose talking about just that-
M/s is a formality based relationship, but people get into ruts, get lazy, and
we tend to let things slide.
How do we notice when this is happening?
WHAT are the things we let slide, fail to keep up on, or allow to become
unaligned?
What are some of the things we can do when we notice this- do we have written
basic rules we refer back to?
Do we notify our partners when we see THEM letting things slide, or do we try to
quietly force change?
Do we keep an eye on things all the time at the expense of being able to just
enjoy the ride?
Do we have written journals and logs we can refer to when time passes so remind
us of what we wanted our relationships to be like, or do we want to have
evolution and not stick to a program?

Those are some of the things i would love to bring up this month.

On the agenda:
Past meetings: What have we wanted to do that has not happened?
What ONE goal can we agree on within the next 6 months?
Growth- how do you want it to happen?

Bring your note pads, your great summer reading materials, and any recent
memories of wonderful M/s moments and events that can help us define what we
would like to become.

Also- BRING SNACKS! Lets all contribute to some munches, fruit, cheese,
crackers, etc.

How do you balance M/s with financial considerations? What are the Master's responsibilities about being the financial breadwinner? Should slaves turn over their paychecks? Who pays when the slave makes more? Can you justify being the dominant when someone else holds the financial purse? Should the slave pay the bills or know about the dominants finances? Should you marry for the taxbreaks?

General Topic-- How did the holidays affect your M/s relationships?

Who's in charge of each holiday and why? (i.e. , Valentines is considered a female directed day-- do Femdoms take charge, or expect to be feted by their male slaves? Do our female slaves expect to be "Valentined" or not? What motivations underlie how we interact for those holidays with specific roles assigned by gender?

How long should relationships last? How do you judge when temporary has become permanent? What are the signposts for each partner to judge how solid the relationship is? Do some folks have lesser expectations which make bonding difficult?

How Serious is a collar?

General discussion about current interesting things- BDSM blogs, lawsuit on mymphomainia, Executive excesses related to BDSM activities, and request/input on how computers are of service when dating/seeking mates and the best/worst places and things.

December MAsT is hosting a special meeting on Sunday December 9th at 4pm.

Our meetings are in a private home, so please contact one of the directors for more information, or join our public group for announcments and info about open spaces.

Master/slave Conference

Master/slave Conference set for August 7-10, 2008

The fifth annual Master/slave Conference (MsC) will take place on August 7-10, 2008 in Washington, DC.

The event will have a new venue: the Crowne Plaza Washington, DC – Silver Spring.

MsC is the only educational event exclusively on Master/slave relationships. The conference will include over 40 workshops of different aspects of Dominant/submissive relationships with well known presenters from all around the country.

As part of the Master/slave Network, MsC will feature also the Northeast Master/slave Contest, with the winners competing at the International contest in Dallas.

For the third consecutive year, the event will include a special exhibit of Vi Johnson's Leather History Library.


MsC is a very diverse event where everyone is welcome regardless sexual
orientation or gender. A formidable representation of gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender Masters and slaves, Sirs, Mistresses, boys,
subs, girls, bois, etc. gather every summer in the Nation's capital to share, educate, learn, and network.

The event is produced by MTTA, Inc., a 501c3 non-for-profit educational organization. The Executive Committee is formed by Master Taino (Executive Producer), Master J, Master Jack M. and Master Tallen (co-chairs) and Sir Brian (Chief Operating Officer).

MsC 2008 will officially start on Thursday August 7 with registration
and a Meet and Greet reception. Workshops and the Leather Market will
open Friday morning.

Folsom Fringe 07

MAsT hosted an open meeting and had a large, well educated group of men and women genuinely interested in WIITWD. Directors Tydomus, jazzira, and shadow all enjoyed a meal and discussion about MAsT with National Director Master Conrad as well as North West Master/slave title holders 2006 Bob and jan, and 2007 Rick and Tina.

MAsT is not just an organization. It is a calling, a feeling in your bones, a living thing that you cannot deny. If you have loved and been loved in a relationship without Master/slave dynamics, this is probably not what you seek, for those with M/s in their souls cannot survive without it once they have lived with it.

If you can walk away, if you can look into your dreams and not find this- please reconsider the path. It is not easy, it is not simple, and it will be painful to those around you should you be dabbling, running, or playing.

Come walk the path with those that understand.

The Santa Clara County chapter is hosting an open "Meet and Greet" at The DoubleTree Hotel during Folsom Fringe this year.
Please come meet us at the Coffee Garden Restaurant at 6:30 PM, share a bite to eat, and enjoy a great weekend.

MAsT exists as a support group for individuals involved in, or interested in, the Master/slave, Dominant/submissive lifestyle. It is an opportunity and forum for like-minded individuals to come together for discussion of issues of concern, to share ideas and gain/share knowledge of the M/s, D/s lifestyle.
MAsT serves that function best in local Chapters where followers of the M/s, D/s lifestyle can meet together to learn from one another and to support each other. We are open to all orientations.

MAsT MAY BE FOR YOU IF:
* Your primary identity is as Master (owner) or slave (property).
* You live your life guided by the M/s, D/s construct.
* The M/s, D/s construct is carried over into your decision making processes, i.e., it's the filter you use for your defining moments in life.

NEWS- Summer Edition

Summer is closing, and Santa Clara County has been a very busy place for MAsT members and those who appreciate the life.


The NW Master/slave contest was held here the first weekend of the month, and the new title holders, Master Rick and slave Tina are now working hard on their terms as representatives and teachers. We wish them well.

MAsT Santa Clara County continues to grow, with several new faces at our last meeting. We (once again) went WAY over time discussing the issues and ideas about slavery, service, distinguishing the differences between WIITWD and what others perceptions are.

**DUE TO THE 3 DAY HOLIDAY, THE SEPTEMBER MEETING IS MOVING TO THE SECOND SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9TH AT 4-6 PM FOR THIS ONE MONTH ONLY**

The August meeting and discussion of "slavecraft" was WONDERFUL and gave all of us lots of new ways to look at some of the actions and thoughts we normally associate with what slaves do, think, and how we interact.

We handled some business, including our ongoing plans to have a general public MAsT meeting at the Folsom Fringe Convention September 29th. Currently, we have National members coming with us to chat about what MAsT is, how things are changing, and give new members and interested outsiders some ideas of what we are like. CURRENT plans are to meet at the hotel open area "garden" restaurant late Saturday afternoon for early dinner gathering, and should we have a large enough group, retire to a more secluded location for chat after dinner.
